Description

The Tilta Nucleus Auto Focus Adapter (E to PL) Base Kit connects Sony E-mount camera autofocus data with PL-mount manual cinema lenses for a motor-driven autofocus workflow. Designed for the Nucleus-M II and Nucleus Nano II Wireless Lens Control Systems, it translates supported Sony Alpha and FX camera phase-detection information into focus movement through the Nucleus ecosystem.
Put manual cinema glass into an autofocus workflowUse the adapter with supported Sony cameras, including the FX3, FX30, FX5, and FX6, and compatible PL-mount rehoused vintage or high-end cinema lenses. The built-in lens-profile library lets supported lenses be selected from the menu without calibration. For unsupported or specialty lenses, the adapter lets you manually map and save a profile through its on-device interface.
Keep control close at handWith a Nucleus-M II FIZ Hand Unit, the MF button provides an AF/MF override for manual focus pulls and racks before returning control to autofocus. With two wireless motors, iris can be adjusted through the camera’s electronic control.
Compatibility notesThis adapter is not compatible with Sony Burano or FX9 bodies because of physical clearance at the locking E-mount. It is not compatible with the Viltrox E Mount to Z Mount Adapter. Current firmware does not support zoom functionality or 2× anamorphic lenses.
