Description

The Sony ECM-W5 Wireless Microphone Kit is an all-in-one wireless audio system for compatible Sony cameras, smartphones, and computers. Two included microphone/transmitters, a receiver, and a charging case support flexible two-person capture, while up to four in-camera channels are available when optional ECM-W5T transmitters are added.
Audio built for the editRecord up to 96 kHz/24-bit audio or use 48 kHz/32-bit float recording to preserve quiet voices and sudden peaks with greater flexibility in post. With a compatible Sony camera, 32-bit float audio can be recorded in the video file to keep audio and picture together in one workflow. Each microphone also has 64 GB of built-in storage for onboard recording and backup options.
Wireless production toolsThe ECM-W5 offers stable, low-latency wireless transmission at distances up to 500 m in line-of-sight conditions. A Bluetooth LE Audio connection supports cable-free monitoring with compatible Sony wireless headphones, while timecode synchronization can help align footage in post-production. Each transmitter and the receiver also provide a 3.5 mm external microphone input for a compatible lavalier microphone.
Ready from the caseOpen the charging case to put the receiver into standby, then remove the receiver and microphones to power them on for recording. The included Multi Interface Shoe adaptor and USB adaptor extend the system to compatible camera, mobile, and computer workflows.
